ASTA Scholarships

Thank you for your interest in the ASTA scholarships. Tourism Cares manages the scholarship funds for ASTA as part of the Tourism Cares Scholarship program.

Details for both Academic and Professional Development scholarship eligibility criteria, FAQs and access to the online application are available at Tourism Cares. Academic scholarships are offered for graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, and graduate research students. Professional Development Scholarships are offered for individuals entering or currently working within the travel industry taking certificate courses or participating in industry conferences.

  • ASTA Alaska Airlines Scholarship (one at $1,000)
  • ASTA Arizona Scholarship (one at $2,000)
  • ASTA Northern California Chapter Richard Epping Scholarship (one at $1,000)
  • ASTA Pacific Northwest Chapter - William Hunt Scholarship (one at $1,000)
  • ASTA Princess Cruises Scholarship (one at $2,500)
  • ASTA Stan and Leone Pollard Scholarship (one at $1,000)

Scholarships for Graduate Students or Graduate Research Students:

  • ASTA Arnold Rigby Scholarship ( two at $2,500)

  • ASTA Allegheny Branch of Mid-America Chapter - Nancy Stewart Professional Development Scholarship (up to $3,000 aggregate annual amount)
  • ASTA Arizona Chapter Professional Development Scholarship (up to $500 aggregate annual amount)
  • ASTA Orange County - Harry Jackson Professional Development Scholarship (up to $350 in funds per applicant available)
  • ASTA Pacific Northwest - William Hunt Professional Development Scholarship (up to $500 aggregate annual amount)
  • ASTA Rocky Mountain Chapter - Don Estey Professional Development Scholarship (up to $3,000 aggregate annual amount)
  • ASTA San Diego Chapter Professional Development Scholarship (up to $2,500 aggregate annual amount)
  • ASTA Southeast Chapter Professional Development Scholarship (up to $1,500 aggregate annual amount)

Tourism Cares

Tourism Cares Tourism Cares is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity with a mission to preserve the travel experience for future generations.
