ASTA Wraps Up Successful 2017 Destination Expo in Kenya
Bahamas, China Next on International Agenda
Nairobi, Kenya, February 26, 2017 – The American Society of Travel agents (ASTA) today celebrated the successful start of the ASTA Destination Expo (ADE) in Nairobi, Kenya after an inaugural session in which U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec and Kenyan Secretary of Tourism Najib Balala welcomed the delegates.
During the event, hundreds of U.S. travel agents, suppliers and tourism executives will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture and history of Kenya and return to the U.S. with an extensive knowledge of how to sell this unique destination.

During the all-delegate session in Kenya, ASTA announced the first-ever event between the U.S. and the Chinese tourism industry, the ASTA China Summit. The ASTA China Summit will take place in Guiyang, China November 8-12, 2017. Key players from the Guiyang Tourism Development Committee, the Guizhou Tourism Development Commission, China Southern Airlines, Beyond Summits Ltd., and the ASTA China Chapter will participate.
