In case you missed it, last week the USA Today editorial board published a piece calling on Congress to adopt a number of pro-consumer measures as it puts together an aviation policy bill. These priorities track closely with ASTA's objectives for this legislation , including protecting the DOT's full-price advertising rule, opposing intrusive regulation on large "ticket agents" and banning in-flight cell phone calls. The piece is well-timed, as the current law expires in September and the Senate is scheduled to take up its version of the bill next month.
