If you attended ASTA Legislative Day in May, you remember that our top priority was fighting against burdensome new consumer disclosures in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill, especially parts of the Senate bill (S. 1405) that would add seven new disclosures to every air transaction. Fortunately, Senator Mike Lee of Utah has agreed to offer an amendment to the bill when it comes to the Senate floor later this month that would fix the worst of the problems with the new disclosures. The bill is coming to the floor in mid-August, so we need you and your colleagues to take action as soon as possible to help us get this amendment approved!
