I am serving as AZ ASTA Chapter President, 2018 our Chapter was winner Best ASTA Chapter of the Year & 2020 winner Best Chapter President award!! I am a Certified Counselor (CTC) earned my Travel degree from the Institute of Travel Agents in Wellesley Mass, completion 3 years of intense courses and exams pertaining to the Travel Industry Business. The other Certifications completed were from (CLIA) Cruise Line International Association. To be able to achieve this cruise designation certification you had to complete at least 3 levels of the expertise in the Cruiseline industry. This entaled having product knowledge of the cruiselines, their ships, where they are sailing, complete sight inspections of the ships knowing locations and categories of cabins, from the Inside Cabin to the Penthouse suites with Butler services. requirements to complete a certain amount of cruises on the major cruiselines listed in CLIA by completing 7,10 and 14 day sailings were mandatory and you could not repeat sailing on the same ship to turn that information in as a requirement. Written exams were taken along with case studies and you were graded on these.In my final Certification we had to take a longer or exotic cruise that was required that I had completed.Asia My status is now Elite Cruise Counselor. from the CLIA (ECC cruiseline certification) with 35 years in the Travel Industry having a " Passion for Travel." My experiences & specialization certifications were Rivercruises(Viking AMA Avalon Scenic Uniworld) All major Ocean Cruiselines,sailing exciting ports of Europe, colorful Caribbean islands,enchanting Panama Canal, experiencing Alaska's Inside Passage with land tours to beautiful Denali National Park, the lodges & wildlife in parks & ocean, experiencing New England Coastal Cruises breath taking " Fall Foliage," the exciting River cruises of Europe, Egypt, Vietnam, China, Africa you must do. Unique land discoveries in Turkey,Vietnam & Myanmar a must now to experience!!
