Uniglobe will add ASTA membership to its already-impressive suite of benefits for new advisors, strengthening a solid relationship between the two.
Alexandria, V.A., November 21, 2022 — ASTA is excited to announce that Uniglobe Travel Center (UTC), a longtime member and host agency partner, is incorporating ASTA membership into their suite of benefits for any new advisor that affiliates with them. New UTC advisors have the option to choose an ASTA Independent Contractor Membership or a membership bundled with ASTA's Verified Travel Advisor Certification when they align with the host agency.
"This is an important move for Uniglobe Travel Center and the industry, and we applaud Betsy Geiser's leadership. The UTC team understands the important role ASTA plays in securing an environment where small business entrepreneurs can thrive," said Zane Kerby, President & CEO of ASTA. "No agency or advisor is an island. We will continue to advocate for small business owners and provide relevant resources and programs."
Betsy Geiser, Uniglobe Travel Center's Vice President, has served on ASTA's Board of Directors for four years and was the ASTA Orange County Chapter President for many years. Many UTC advisors are following Betsy's lead by becoming members, answering our advocacy action alerts, contributing to ASTAPAC and participating in our events. "There are many model agency owners and advisors in the UTC network, and we look forward to welcoming more to the ASTA family," said Dave Bowman, ASTA's new Vice President of Membership.
"I am very passionate about who ASTA is and what they have done and continue to do for our industry," said Geiser. "I believe that every advisor should not only be a member but be an engaged member, participating in ASTA events, especially Legislative Day. Our voice matters, and ASTA allows us to be heard."
