The American Society of Travel Advisors Welcomes Record Attendance at the 2025 River Cruise Expo in Vienna

The event brings together over 1,600 travel advisors and seventeen river cruise ships along the Danube for a one-of-a-kind industry experience.

Vienna, Austria, March 12, 2025 – The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) and more than 1,600 U.S.-based travel advisors and suppliers have gathered in Vienna for the highly anticipated, sold-out 2025 ASTA River Cruise Expo. Now in its fourth year, this event has become a cornerstone for the travel advisor community, offering unparalleled access to the world’s leading river cruise brands and executives.

Since its launch in 2022, the Expo has seen remarkable growth, expanding from 678 attendees and seven ships to over 1,600 attendees with 16 participating ships from 10 river cruise brands. This surge reflects the increasing demand for river cruising and the crucial role advisors play in shaping the market. Attendees will engage directly with river cruise brand executives and sales leaders, connect with more than 100 exhibitors during the trade show, and explore the latest innovations in river cruising.

Participating river cruise brands and ships include AMADEUS (Nova), AmaWaterways (AmaBella, AmaLea, AmaMagna, AmaSonata), Avalon (Illumination, Passion and Impression), Riverside Luxury Cruises (Mozart), Riviera (MS William Wordsworth), Scenic Group (Scenic Opal and Emerald Luna), Tauck (MS Savor), Uniworld (S.S. Maria Theresa) and Viking (Rinda and Ingvi). The Expo also provides an exclusive opportunity for travel advisors to stay onboard participating ships, attend educational sessions, curated excursions, and indulge in the award-winning culinary offerings of each cruise line.

“The ASTA River Cruise Expo is more than just an industry event—it’s a testament to the power of travel to broaden perspectives and bring people together,” said Zane Kerby, ASTA President and CEO. “By experiencing the world firsthand, travel advisors gain the knowledge and connections needed to create unforgettable journeys for their clients. Vienna, with its rich history and stunning Danube setting, provides the perfect stage for this global gathering, where we celebrate the transformative impact of travel.”
