Mark Meader

Mark Meader has been a driving force at ASTA since 2015, championing initiatives that support travel advisors, suppliers, and the broader industry. As Executive Vice President of ASTA Corporate, he leads efforts to empower corporate travel agencies and travel management companies (TMCs) through strategic partnerships, education, and advocacy.
Previously serving as ASTA’s Senior Vice President of Industry Affairs & Education, Mark played a key role in shaping ASTA’s member programs, spearheading content for major events such as the Travel Advisor Conference and Premium Business Summits. He also led ASTA’s educational initiatives, including the Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) certification, which fosters professionalism and ethical standards among advisors. His advocacy efforts extend to industry coalitions, government entities, and travel technology firms, ensuring that the voices of travel advisors are heard at the highest levels.
Mark’s extensive global experience spans the agency, GDS, airline, and travel association sectors. Before joining ASTA, he served as Vice President of Business Development at the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), overseeing corporate strategy, product marketing, and business development. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Sabre Corporation across the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific, as well as merger work at United Airlines. He began his career as a travel advisor in Boston, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities within the profession.
A recognized industry leader, Mark has served on and previously chaired the World Travel Agents Associations Alliance (WTAAA), further amplifying his impact on the global stage.
