My taste for travel started when I was a kid. Our parents would take family vacations and drive to places like Disney World, Maine, Massachusetts, Niagara Falls and west to the Rockies. We visited landmarks, historical sites, and natural beauty around the U.S. We also took several trips to Hawaii. I think swimming with turtles and snorkeling was my favorite part. My favorite island is the big island, Hawaii. My grandparents started us all cruising in the 80’s for their 50th Wedding anniversary, and I was hooked. I have since been on numerous cruises with family and friends, including a singles cruise. While I did not meet my husband on that cruise, I did make a couple lifelong best friends. I have mostly cruised the Caribbean and I am not sure that I really have a favorite island or port. Each offers something different and a chance to learn about their culture. I also went with a solo travel group on a tour in Ireland. I loved Ireland, while yes it rains and isn’t always warm, the people are friendly, the scenery beautiful and the history amazing. This was a great experience from which I made lifelong friends and that I later traveled. Then I had the opportunity to travel in Italy. I wanted to try everything there, the market stands in Rome with the fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh squeezed blood orange juice, the size of lemons along the Amalfi Coast, and an active volcano in Sicily. With all my past and recent travel opportunities, it seemed only natural to want to help others plan vacations.
